Tenac™-C Z4520 polyacetal resin, an engineering plastic of Asahi Kasei, has been certified as an eco-friendly green material by the China Automotive Technology & Research Center (CATARC)¹ in recognition of its outstanding performance for low emission of VOCs (volatile organic compounds). The certification was presented at a ceremony during the 2019 China Automotive Materials (Xiqing) International Forum on March 27, 2019, in Tianjin, China.
Asahi Kasei has manufactured the grade Z4520 at its plant in Mizushima, Japan, since 2004, and at Asahi Kasei POM Zhangjiagang Co., Ltd., a subsidiary in China, since 2014. Widely acknowledged to provide among the best low VOC performance in the industry, Z4520 has been adopted around the world in automobile interiors and office equipment.
