Asahi Kasei has today implemented and completed the repurchase of shares as announced on May 30, 2019, in accordance with a resolution of the Board of Directors adopted on May 10, 2019, pursuant to Article 459, Paragraph 1, of the Companies Act of Japan as well as Article 37 of the company's Articles of Incorporation. Furthermore, the company has determined the number of shares of treasury stock to be canceled in accordance with a resolution of the Board of Directors adopted on May 10, 2019, pursuant to Article 178 of the Companies Act.
