Asahi Kasei’s Synthetic Rubber Production Department¹ received a Gold Medal Sustainability Rating from EcoVadis² in December 2020. The Gold Medal indicates a sustainability assessment in the top 5% of all companies evaluated.

EcoVadis assesses corporate initiatives and achievements on sustainability in four themes of the Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. Our evaluation was particularly high in the Environment and Labor & Human Rights.

EcoVadis performs its assessment based on international standards of sustainability, and over 75,000 companies from more than 160 countries across 200 purchasing categories have been assessed. The EcoVadis assessment is increasingly recognized as an objective evaluation of corporate sustainability initiatives and achievements.

As the Asahi Kasei Group continues to advance initiatives for sustainability, this Gold Medal rating serves as an encouragement to further reinforce efforts to achieve a sustainable society.
