Asahi Kasei announces that Tongsuh Petrochemical Corp., Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary in South Korea, received a Gold Medal Sustainability Rating from EcoVadis in March 2024. The Gold Medal indicates a sustainability assessment in the top 5% of all companies evaluated.
EcoVadis performs its assessment based on international standards of sustainability, and over 130,000 companies from more than 180 countries across 220 industries have been assessed. The EcoVadis assessment is increasingly recognized as an objective evaluation of corporate sustainability initiatives and achievements.
As the Asahi Kasei Group continues to advance initiatives for sustainability, this Gold Medal rating serves as an encouragement to further reinforce efforts to achieve a sustainable society.
