Asahi Kasei receives Best IR Award from Japan Investor Relations Association
November 14, 2025
Asahi Kasei Corp.
Asahi Kasei has received a Best IR Award in the 2025 IR Awards of the Japan Investor Relations Association (JIRA). Having previously received it in 2004 and 2008, this is the third time and the first in 17 years for the company to receive the award.
The IR Award is designed to recognize companies which have been highly accredited in the investment community for their understanding and promotion of IR activities. This year marks the 30th year since the first IR Award. Of the 371 companies that applied for the 2025 IR Awards, 13 were selected: the IR Grand Prix was given to 2 companies, the Best IR Award to 6, the IR Special Award to 3, and the Best IR Award for Encouragement to 2.
Reasons for Asahi Kasei’s selection:
- Upper management has clearly demonstrated a proactive approach toward the capital markets by increasing opportunities for direct dialogue with investors and incorporating insights into IR activities.
- The Integrated Report has been structured to directly address key issues and concerns raised by investors.
- Enhanced disclosures on each segment in financial results presentations, and explanation of the significance of operation across three business sectors.
- Holding an Intangible Assets Briefing in December 2024 positioning patents and other intangible assets as part of management strategy. The Briefing stood out for highlighting the company-wide approach to leveraging intangible assets across all business sectors.
Asahi Kasei has consistently grown through proactive transformation to optimize its business portfolio, and today operates in three sectors of Healthcare, Homes, and Material. Through its IR activities, the company strives to demonstrate how management assets such as technologies, know-how, and human resources, nurtured in the different business sectors are integrated to create value across the Asahi Kasei Group.
As part of these efforts, Asahi Kasei held an Intangible Assets Briefing in fiscal 2024 to showcase how it leverages intangible assets that connect the three business sectors. The company’s Integrated Report (Asahi Kasei Report) was prepared under an editorial policy that sincerely addresses investors’ questions and concerns.
Asahi Kasei believes this award recognizes its ongoing efforts to improve the company’s management approach and IR activities. Moving forward, the company remains committed to expanding communication efforts to help stakeholders better understand its goal of enhancing corporate value.
