Acetonitrile
World’s second-largest producer of acetonitrile – a material in rising demand with characteristics that closely match the requirements of the growing fine chemicals industry. Part of the Asahi Kasei commitment to the stable supply of high quality and performance, to meet demanding requirements.
Methacrylonitrile (MAN)
Special monomer characterized by its structural composition of active vinyl, acrylic, and side-chain methyl groups. Widely used for polymers and intermediates production. World's first volume production began by Asahi Kasei in 1984.
Manufacturing technology for high-purity carbonates (ethylene carbonate, dimethyl carbonate)
Process using CO2 as a raw material to produce carbonates. Available for licensing. Contributes to reduced CO2 emissions by utilizing CO2 from other plants rather than releasing it to the atmosphere.
Acrylonitrile (AN)
Key production material for acrylic fiber, ABS resin, nitrile-butadiene rubber (NBR), adiponitrile (ADN), and many other products. Markets around the world are supplied from plants in Japan (Mizushima), Korea, and Thailand which are operated in accordance with feedstock and demand trends.
Application: Production of synthetic resin, synthetic fiber, etc.
