Thermylene™ polypropylene compounds are developed and produced by Asahi Kasei Plastics North America, Inc.
Our photopolymers are used for flexo printing of packages (cardboard, labels, and film) and alignment films for LCD panels. The broad product lineup of liquid photopolymer and solid photosensitive plates includes environmentally friendly products that enable washing with water instead of solvents.
Bemberg™ is an eco-friendly fiber made of cotton linter—the short, downy fiber that enfolds and protects the cotton seed—featuring a smooth feel, attractive luster, and moisture absorption/release. Made by Asahi Kasei Fibers since 1931, Bemberg™ is used in applications ranging from linings to outerwear, innerwear, sportswear, beddings, and ethnic garments.
Bemberg™ has excellent functionality as lining material, including pleasant feel, attractive luster, and superior color development. It glides smoothly across the skin and other fabrics without static buildup, and natrually absorbs and releases moisture.
ROICA™ spandex is a premium stretch fiber with excellent stretch and recovery properties based on Asahi Kasei’s polymer science. Supported by solid technology and high quality, it is an advanced spandex with superior functionality that meets diverse customer needs.

Bemliese™ is cellulose nonwoven fabric made of 100% cotton linter that is usually disposed of. After refining, it is made into sheets as the world's only continuous-filament cellulose nonwoven. The production process utilizing the inherent property of the fibers to mutually adhere with one another is Asahi Kasei's original technology.

Woven and nonwoven fabric made of oxidized acrylic fiber, featuring excellent resistance to flame and heat. Used for weld spatter sheets, wiring harnesses, and around car engines.
Three-dimensional cubic knitted fabric with a diagonally braced double-raschel structure that provides outstanding air and water permeability as a machine-washable cushioning material. Its excellent moisture wicking performance makes it ideal as humidifier filter material.
NanoAct™ is the label for lateral flow immunoassay newly developed by Asahi Kasei. The properties of cellulose such as excellent colorability and hydrophilicity make NanoAct™ ideal for use as labels in immunochromatography. Compared to conventional labels, NanoAct™ features higher sensitivity, faster detection time, and availability in multiple colors to allow easy multiplexing.

BioCradle is unique product optimized for cell culture. This product brings you high efficient cell production (density cell culture) and other useful effects.
CMC-Bemliese is continuous filament non-woven sheet made from 100 % Bemliese. CMC means Carboxy Methyl Cellulose. Original Bemliese is converted to CMC-Bemliese by chemical modification. Thanks to our state-of-the-art cellulose technology, CMC-Bemliese has various excellent features in wet conditions. CMC-Bemliese has high possibility to be used for various medical applications.
Sold in Japan by Asahi Kasei, Saran Wrap™ has superior cling, barrier performance, and heat resistance compared to wrapping films made of polyethylene or polyvinyl chloride.
Sold in Japan by Asahi Kasei, Ziploc™ resealable plastic bags and containers are ideal for organizing household items in addition to storing food in refrigerators and freezers.
Sold in Japan, the Cookper™ lineup includes products that make healthy cooking easy in the oven, frying pan, stewing pot, and more.
Launched in Germany, Frosch™ is a well-known brand of cleaners in over 40 countries worldwide. Sold in Japan by Asahi Kasei, Frosch™ dishwashing liquid combines good cleaning performance with minimum environmental burden, while being gentle to the skin.
Stiffness, gloss, transparency, permeability - the strengths and superiority of these films’ range of characteristics are demonstrated in a variety of application fields, from the packaging of fresh produce through to uses such as a polystyrene laminate material and envelope window film.
From boxed lunches and other delicatessen dishes in convenience stores to tray-wrapped meat, fish, processed seafood, mushrooms and the like on supermarket shelves, this polyolefin shrink film enables food to be safely packaged and beautifully presented. We offer high shrink, semi-shrink and stretch types, and the development of over-wrap and pillow shrink grades to fit all types of packaging machines and package contents is underway.
This line-up of high barrier films, matched to the requirements of various applications and machines, includes Barrialon™ SF film for fully-automatic form-fill machines, Barrialon™ UB for laminates and Barrialon™ S for shrink packaging meats.
A high-performance aqueous PVDC (polyvinylidene chloride) emulsion that, on drying, forms a thin film characterized by high barrier to oxygen and other gases and to water vapor, together with outstanding heat- and radiofrequency-seal properties, flame retardance, and oil and chemical resistance.
Saran™ fiber is a synthetic fiber with the following characteristics. As pigment is added directly to the raw materials, it has excellent color fastness and is fade resistant. It displays superior chemical resistance. As the raw material is inherently self-extinguishing, addition of flame-retardants is unnecessary. It is used widely in applications such as doll hair, insoles, dishwashing pads, scrubbing brushes and water filtration.
MCC is purified, partially depolymerized cellulose. Used around the world, Ceolus™ and Celphere™ offer superior performance and quality based on advanced particle design, production, and processing technologies at Asahi Kasei.
A world leader in the production of metal composites by explosion bonding – the controlled application of explosive energy to form an instantaneous bond between metal plates. High-performance clad products in optimum metal combinations and configurations, for overseas and domestic chemical, refinery, and petrochemical industries, LNG tanks and equipment, power plants, and many other fields.
